I’ve been living a boring life lately, working… working…. working…  sleeping… sleeping… sleeping…

After been instigated by Amyr, formerly known as Iblyszael (which suits the word instigate) I’ve bought a WDTV together with 1TB external storage.  Honestly, he made me feel I’m getting old, been left behind by the technology.

So to keep up a bit, I bought those things…  wow! I didn’t regret it, and it does keep me busy collecting series/movies to be watched over the night. And Iblyszael never stop instigating with the other stuffs… full HD tv … but I have to take some time for this …. of cos because of the budget and moreover my small living room will not give a good space for a big TV …. I just wondering it will be like watching movie at cinema in the front row… I dont want that ….

Anyway, I was carried away downloading all the series and movies…. lolz … abusing the credentials given to me. Sorry friend! I’ll control myself … But I think it will be wise for me to put my list here, so that we can reduce any problem if there’s any.

Tajuk: Objek Kajian Ilmu Aqidah

Aqidah jika dilihat dari sudut pandang sebagai ilmu -sesuai konsep Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah- meliputi topik-topik: Tauhid, Iman, Islam, masalah ghaibiyyaat (hal-hal ghaib), kenabian, takdir, berita-berita (tentang hal-hal yang telah lalu dan yang akan datang), dasar-dasar hukum yang qath’i (pasti), seluruh dasar-dasar agama dan keyakinan, termasuk pula sanggahan terhadap ahlul ahwa’ wal bida’ (pengikut hawa nafsu dan ahli bid’ah), semua aliran dan ideologi yang menyimpang lagi menyesatkan serta sikap terhadap mereka.

Disiplin ilmu ‘aqidah ini mempunyai nama lain yang sepadan dengannya, dan nama-nama tersebut berbeda antara Ahlus Sunnah dengan firqah-firqah (golongan-golongan) lainnya.

PENAMAAN AQIDAH MENURUT AHLUS SUNNAH
Di antara nama-nama ‘aqidah menurut ulama Ahlus Sunnah adalah:

1. Al-Iman
‘Aqidah disebut juga dengan al-Iman sebagaimana yang di-sebutkan dalam Al-Qur-an dan hadits-hadits Nabi SAW karena ‘aqidah membahas rukun iman yang enam dan hal-hal yang berkaitan dengannya. Sebagaimana penyebutan al-Iman dalam sebuah hadits yang masyhur disebut dengan hadits Jibril a.s. Dan para ulama Ahlus Sunnah sering menyebut istilah ‘aqidah dengan al-Iman dalam kitab-kitab mereka. 2. ‘Aqidah (I’tiqaad dan ‘Aqaa-id)
Para ulama Ahlus Sunnah sering menyebut ilmu ‘aqidah dengan istilah ‘Aqidah Salaf: ‘Aqidah Ahlul Atsar dan al-I’tiqaad di dalam kitab-kitab mereka. [3]

3. Tauhid
‘Aqidah dinamakan dengan Tauhid karena pembahasannya berkisar tentang Tauhid atau pengesaan kepada Allah di dalam Rububiyyah, Uluhiyyah dan Asma’ wa Shifat. Jadi, Tauhid merupakan kajian ilmu ‘aqidah yang paling mulia dan merupakan tujuan utamanya. Oleh karena itulah ilmu ini disebut dengan ilmu Tauhid secara umum menurut ulama Salaf. [4]

Tajuk: Definisi Aqidah

‘Aqidah menurut bahasa Arab (etimologi) berasal dari kata al-’aqdu yang bermaksud ikatan, at-tautsiiqu yang berarti kepercayaan atau keyakinan yang kuat, al-ihkaamu yang artinya mengukuhkan (menetapkan), dan ar-rabthu biquw-wah yang bermaksud mengikat dengan kuat. [1]

Sedangkan menurut istilah (terminologi): ‘aqidah adalah iman yang teguh dan pasti, yang tidak ada keraguan sedikit pun bagi orang yang meyakininya.

Jadi, ‘Aqidah Islamiyyah adalah keimanan yang teguh dan bersifat pasti kepada Allah dengan segala pelaksanaan ke-wajiban, bertauhid [2] dan taat kepada-Nya, beriman kepada Malaikat-malaikat-Nya, Rasul-rasul-Nya, Kitab-kitab-Nya, hari Akhir, takdir baik dan buruk dan mengimani seluruh apa-apa yang telah sahih tentang Prinsip-prinsip Agama (Ushuluddin), perkara-perkara yang ghaib, beriman kepada apa yang menjadi ijma’ (kesepakatan) dari Salafus Soleh, serta seluruh berita-berita qath’i (pasti), baik secara ilmiah maupun secara amaliyah yang telah ditetapkan menurut Al-Qur’an dan As-Sunnah yang shahih serta ijma’ Salafus Soleh. IBM, Sun unable to reach a deal, reports say

Merger talks between IBM and Sun Microsystems were said to have broken down on Sunday, with the two companies unable to agree on the terms of a deal.

Sun’s board rejected a formal offer from IBM on Saturday, considering the offer price too low, The Wall Street Journal reported. Sun was also concerned that the offer gave IBM too much leeway to walk away from the deal, according to the newspaper, which cited unnamed sources familiar with the situation.

The two companies are reported to have been in merger talks since at least March 18. The acquisition, valued at about US$7 billion, would extend IBM’s lead at the top of the server market and give it control of Sun’s Solaris, Java and other technologies.

But the companies had reportedly been haggling over a price, and on Saturday Sun rejected IBM’s offer of $9.40 per share, according to The New York Times, which also said the talks had fallen apart.

Sun had been seeking assurances that IBM would not walk away from the deal even if it faced tough regulatory hurdles, the Times said, and IBM considered the requirement too onerous.

Sun has sent a notice to IBM terminating its right to exclusive negotiations, and IBM in return has withdrawn its offer to buy Sun, the Journal said.

Such brinkmanship isn’t uncommon during late-stage negotiations, the paper noted, and the companies may yet resume talks. But for now, the stance between them was described as “confrontational.”

IBM and Sun were first reported to be in merger talks two-and-a-half weeks ago. Neither company has confirmed or denied that any discussions are under way.

IBM has conducted its due diligence of Sun and found nothing that would prevent it from buying the company, the Journal said.

If the companies fail to make a deal, it is unclear whether another large vendor will step in and bid for Sun. After IBM first expressed its interest in an acquisition, Sun’s investment bankers shopped the company around to most large IT vendors over the winter to see if any others were interested, the Journal said, but none were.

That puts Sun in a tough position, said Dan Olds, principal analyst at Gabriel Consulting Group. With no other suitor likely to step forward, Sun will probably have to accept an offer from IBM eventually, even if it means swallowing less favorable terms, he said.

The uncertainty around Sun’s future will make companies wary of making big investments in Sun’s products, he said, adding to the pressure to make a deal.

“Enterprise customers prize vendor stability; they do not buy big ticket items from vendors who are in turmoil,” Olds said.

I’ve got one simple script created to make my life easier.

But still I have to type in the password 2 times.

Too lazy to type all the commands, but at the same time, too lazy to learn to make beautiful script which I don’t have to key in the password at all. Anyway, I will try to get that done in the near future.

Follow these steps and join the lazy club:
1. Pick your base or jump station, setup ssh authorized_keys

kingkafan@server:~$ ssh-keygen -t rsa
The key will be created in the $HOME/.ssh/id_rsa.pub
This file will be used to be copied over to other remote hosts and renamed as authorized_keys

2. Create 2 directories in your $HOME e.g. $HOME/solaris and $HOME/aix
Keep your profile or rc files in those directories
For my settings here, I’ll be using bash for solaris/linux and ksh for aix

3. Write some simple script
I named this script as sscp and put it in $HOME/bin

Memahami Bid’ah

Bid’ah dari segi bahasa bermaksud membuat sesuatu yang belum ada contoh sebelumnya.

Dari segi istilah, bid’ah bermaksud jalan yang direka di dalam agama, yang menyerupai syariah, tujuan mengamalkannya untuk berlebihan dalam mengabdikan diri kepada Allah.

Takrifan dari segi istilah ini dikemukakan oleh al-Imam Abu Ishaq al-Syatibi rahimahullah (790H) di dalam kitabnya yang berjudul al-I’tishom. Yang mana dihuraikan dengan detail tentang maksud bid’ah di dalam kitabnya itu.

Kesimpulan yang dibuat dari yang dita’rifkan dan dihuraikan oleh al-Imam al-Syatibi rahimahullah:

1.                   Bid’ah ialah jalan syarak yang baru direka dan dianggap ibadah dengannya. Dicipta atas nama agama. Adapun membuat perkara baru dalam urusan dunia tidak boleh dinamakan bid’ah. Contohnya mencipta roket, ini bukanlah bid’ah sama sekali.

2.                   Bid’ah ialah sesuatu yang tidak ada asal dalam syariat. Contohnya berzikir beramai-ramai dengan kuat menggabungkan suara menjadi satu ataupun menjadikan perayaan hari lahir Nabi S.A.W. Adapun apa yang ada asalnya dalam syariat tidak dinamakan bid’ah.

3.                   Ahli bid’ah menganggap jalan, bentuk, cara bid’ah mereka adalah satu cara ibadah yang dengannya mereka mendekatkan diri kepada Allah. Seolah-olah manusia mesti beribadat lebih daripada apa yang diperintahkan oleh Allah dan rasul S.A.W.

4.                   Bid’ah kesemuanya buruk dan menyesatkan. Apa yang dinamakan Bid’ah Hasanah yang membabitkan perkara-perkara duniawi yang dinyatakan di dalam point no. 1 di atas, bukanlah bid’ah pada istilahnya.
